Renamed Carnival Ships
Carnival Sunshine originally debuted in 1996 as Carnival Destiny. Carnival Destiny was the first passenger cruise ship ever built over 100,000 gross tons in size. The 3,002 passenger ship is currently 102,853 gross tons after the remodel. The first Dream class ship from Carnival Cruise Line, Carnival Dream was the first Carnival ship to be over 120,000 gross tons in size. The ship debuted in 2009 at 128,000 GT and carries 3,646 passengers. Carnival Firenze is the second ship in the cruise line’s COSTA by Carnival series.
